EDDINGTON TRIALS ROYAL MAIL E-TRIKES
Eddington is leading the way on sustainable post delivery by taking part in Royal Mail’s e-Trike trial.
The zero-emission e-Trikes are being used to deliver Eddington’s post as part of a six-month trial in eight locations across the country.
The e-Trikes – which are powered by a combination of pedal, solar, battery and brake technology – are specially designed to help get letters and parcels in a secure and environmentally-friendly way.
EDDINGTON HOTEL STARTS CONSTRUCTION
Construction on the Eddington Hotel will begin in the coming weeks and the hotel, with both short-stay hotel and aparthotel rooms, is expected to open in 2021.
Site preparation will be taking place throughout June, with works on the underground infrastructure to the building happening from July until later this year.
Construction works will be undertaken by Gilbert-Ash. If there are any concerns or issues regarding the works, Gilbert-Ash have set up a dedicated hotline to call on 07736 270890.
EDDINGTON WINS RIBA NATIONAL HAT-TRICK
The Royal Institute for British Architects (RIBA) presented three RIBA National Awards to the North West Cambridge Development for outstanding designs and masterplanning at Eddington.
The prizes were awarded for the overall masterplan developed with AECOM, the sports pavilions designed by Robin Lee Architecture and residential, energy centre and retail units designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre and Mole.
