Very friendly ‘get into running’ session for complete beginners, every Thursday from Eddington Sainsbury’s.

Run/walk totally fine – and we’ll help you get to continuous running. If you are up and running already, you’ll enjoy an intervals session on the same ‘course’ – all welcome, if you’re ready to support those getting into running. The only thing you need is a high vis top (can’t run with us without it)

Eddington Runners

Sunday 1st March 2020, 8:30am – 9:30am

Eddington Runners is a running group set up in the Eddington area of Cambridge.

Every Sunday at 8.30am, the group will meet outside Storey’s Field Centre in Eddington for a run. We welcome anyone over 18 years old and are open to both men and women. This is a beginners group (0-5km) and is led by a qualified Run Leader, Tatiana.

Come along and say ‘Hi’, have a chat and go for a run. Running has so many benefits to a person’s wellbeing and Eddington Runners is passionate about keeping our local community healthy and active.

Eddie's - a free community café at the Storey’s Field Centre runs every Monday from 9:30am to 11am at Eddington. Come and start the week by enjoying a free cake and a chat!

Science Festival 2020: Matt Hobs BSc

Eddington is taking part in the Cambridge Science Festival 2020, giving people opportunities to explore issues of scientific interest.

Two science-themed stand-up comedy shows from Matt Hobs and Raul Kohli take the stage.

Matt Hobs BSc (Bristolian of Science) explores the ups and downs of Matt Hobs’s career in the world of science.

Eddington residents get a special ticket deal and can see both comedians for £7.78 – book this in person at the Storey’s Field Centre only.


Science Festival 2020: The Kohli Bible

Eddington is taking part in the Cambridge Science Festival 2020, giving people opportunities to explore issues of scientific interest.

Eddington is taking part in the Cambridge Science Festival 2020, giving people opportunities to explore issues of scientific interest.

Younger scientists can join Rishi from Singing Science to explore your DNA and the world of genetics, all through musical mini-lectures where scientific ideas are put to catchy tunes and funky visuals.

Eddington Beer Garden

A pop-up outdoor event in Eddington’s Market Square is arriving for one weekend only.

Friday 27 March, 4pm-11pm

Saturday 28 March, 12noon-11pm

Open to all, the Eddington Beer Garden will serve a choice of draft, craft beers, gins, spirits, wines and soft drinks within the surroundings of this fresh and intriguing space. The event follows the success of the autumn Eddington Craft Beer and Gin Festival at the Storey’s Field Centre.

There will be a selection of Cambridge’s finest independent food vans to satisfy those taste buds, and live musical entertainment for a fun atmosphere to shake off any winter blues.
